This paper describes an enhancement of fuzzy lattice reasoning (FLR) classifier for pattern classification based on a positive\r\nvaluation function. Fuzzy lattice reasoning (FLR) was described lately as a lattice data domain extension of fuzzy ARTMAP neural\r\nclassifier based on a lattice inclusion measure function. In this work, we improve the performance of FLR classifier by defining\r\na new nonlinear positive valuation function. As a consequence, the modified algorithm achieves better classification results. The\r\neffectiveness of the modified FLR is demonstrated by examples on several well-known pattern recognition benchmarks....
We present a method by using the hierarchical cluster-based Multispecies particle swarm optimization to generate a fuzzy system\r\nof Takagi-Sugeno-Kang type encapsulated in a geographical information system considered as environmental decision support\r\nfor spatial analysis. We consider a spatial area partitioned in subzones: the data measured in each subzone are used to extract a\r\nfuzzy rule set of above mentioned type.We adopt a similarity index (greater than a specific threshold) for comparing fuzzy systems\r\ngenerated for adjacent subzones....
Molodtsov has introduced the concept of soft sets and the application of soft sets in decision making and medical diagnosis\r\nproblems. The basic properties of vague soft sets are presented. In this paper, we introduce the concept of interval-valued vague\r\nsoft sets which are an extension of the soft set and its operations such as equality, subset, intersection, union, AND operation,\r\nOR operation, complement, and null while further studying some properties. We give examples for these concepts, and we give a\r\nnumber of applications on interval-valued vague soft sets....
The homotopy analysis method (HAM) is proposed to obtain a semianalytical solution of the system of fuzzy differential equations\r\n(SFDE). The HAM contains the auxiliary parameter , which provides us with a simple way to adjust and control the convergence\r\nregion of solution series. Concept of -meshes and contour plots firstly are introduced in this paper which are the generations of\r\ntraditional h-curves. Convergency of this method for the SFDE has been considered and some examples are given to illustrate the\r\nefficiency and power of HAM....
Following the path toward 4G set by its wireless siblings LTE and WiMax, IEEE 802.11 technology, universally known as WiFi,\r\nis evolving to become a high data rate QoS-enabled mobile platform. The IEEE 802.11n standard yields data rates up to 450\r\nMbp s and the 802.11e standard ensures proficient QoS for real-time applications. Still in need of better performance, multicell\r\nenvironments that provide extended coverage allow the mobile station nomadic passage beyond a single cell by means of cell\r\ndissociation-association process known as handoff. This process poses a challenge for real-time applications like voice over IP\r\n(150 ms maximum delay) and video (200ââ?¬â??400 ms) sessions, to give the user a seamless cell-crossing without data loss or session\r\nbreakage. It presented an approach of a predictive fuzzy Logic controller to reduce the channel scanning process to a tenth of the\r\nstandard time, and its efficient FPGA implementation to speed up the processing time. The algorithm of the fuzzy controller was\r\nimplemented in C language. Experimental results are provided....
